North Center Room Organizes Unique Giveaways, Asks Neighbors To Shop Locally For Valentine’s Day

NORTH CENTER – The Center-Nord Chamber of Commerce wants neighbors to support local stores and restaurants when purchasing the perfect last minute Valentine’s Day gift.

To help neighbors with their local purchases, the chamber organized unique gifts, treats, meal kits and more at North Central stores and restaurants in northern market.

Some of the items for sale include boyfriend bath bombs from Canna Bella Lux for $ 11, a package of 4 Imperial Raspberry Milk Stout with 2 chocolate chip cookies from Burning Bush Brewery for $ 26, one duck meal kit from L&M Fine Foods for $ 76 and up.

Orders will be accepted until Friday for pickup at each merchant’s location between Thursday and Sunday.

The average American will spend $ 161.96 on Valentine’s Day, according to a 2019 study by the National Retail Federation.

Buying local and independent businesses during the pandemic can have a huge impact when local stores and restaurants need support the most.

“With so many people shopping for that perfect gift or looking to create that perfect night out, we encourage people to explore some great options for doing just that at North Center,” said Lindsay Eanet, executive director of the chamber.
