There is something for everyone at Holiday Shop, with items ranging from $ 5 to several hundred dollars.

The annual Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC) Holiday Store, now in its 41st year, is a local pop-up shopping experience where more than 3,000 square feet of BBAC gallery space is transformed into a boutique unique offering one of the handcrafted gift items from over 200 participating artists.

The holiday store opens on December 2 and ends on December 21. Hours of operation are 10 am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday; 12 pm-4pm on Sundays.

New this year, in addition to ceramics, jewelry, fiber clothing, glassware, paper goods, ornaments, Judaica, men’s gifts and more, buyers will also enjoy an expanded section items for the home, with the return of the popular “Mug Wall” as well as the addition of more gift items for babies and children.

As the impacts of the pandemic continue to be felt, the support of shoppers at this year’s holiday store is more crucial than ever. All proceeds from Holiday Shop benefit active artists and BBAC’s ArtAccess and Education programs.

The Holiday Shop, located at 1516 S. Cranbrook Road in Birmingham, is free and open to the public. Capacity limits in the spacious galleries will be monitored to allow a safe distance and masks are required.

For those who wish to further support the BBAC, virtual patron tickets ($ 150 each; 100% tax deductible) are available in advance.
